We review equipment needed to begin incorporating cash based and
occupational medicine exams into your practice. We discuss OSHA and ANSI
requirements for equipment, calibration standards and certifications for
physicians and staff.
10:30-11:00 Respiratory Protection
This lecture discusses occupational lung disease, OSHA Respiratory
Standard Cotton Dust Standard and MSHA regulations. We also detail how
to incorporate Respiratory Protection Services into your clinic and on-site
work.
11:00-11:30 Hearing Conservation Programs
This lecture discusses mechanisms of hearing loss, prevention of Noise
Induced Hearing Loss, the OSHA standard on hearing loss and how to
implement Hearing Conservation Programs for industry into your practice.
11:30-12:00 In-house exams
This lecture reviews multiple cash based physical examinations that can be
performed as an adjunct to primary care. This includes Compliance
exams, CDL, FAA, Insurance exams, return to work, post-offer, HAZMAT,
and Respirator User. Time is spent detailing how to perform these exams,
and reviewing effective marketing techniques.
12:00-12:30 Medical Directorship
Learn how to earn extra income serving as medical directors for local
industry and government agencies. We also cover NP/PA oversight and
medical records review.
12:30-1:00 Lunch
1:00-2:00 DDS and IME exams
This lecture reviews the different types of cash based disability and
independent medical examinations, how to incorporate them into your
practice, and the use of physician extenders and satellite clinics. We
discuss how to become a panel physician, how to perform the exams and
marketing strategies.
2:00-3:00 Drug Studies
This lecture focuses on how a physician may leverage their current patient
population to generate extra income through drug studies.
3:00-4:00 Immigration Exams
This lecture reviews how to become a United States Civil Surgeon, and
effective ways to best market your services.

This lecture details how to implement on-site flu vaccine clinics in your
community. This includes purchasing vaccines, marketing and promoting.
8:30-9:00 Wellness Programs/Health Fairs
Participants will learn how to administer and provide corporate wellness
programs and on-site Health Fairs. We discuss insurance incentives for
companies, the physicians' role in development and supervision of these
programs, and how to use Health Fairs to build your occupational medical
practice.
9:00-10:00 Travel Clinics
This lecture discusses setting up and administering an in-house or on-site
travel clinic. We discuss CDC recommendations, purchasing vaccines,
marketing and promotion.
10:00-10:30 On-Site Clinics
Many industries need medical personnel on -site. This lecture covers how
to set up industrial clinics and the supervision of medical staff
10:30-11:00 Marketing Specifics and Next Steps
We discuss website development, brochures, and marketing plans. We
also discuss further educational opportunities available for the primary care
physician.
10:30-12:30 Individualized Practice Assessment
Each participant receives a customized marketing plan, and we set short
and long term goals and the action steps required implement a successful
cash based occupational medicine program.
